The artist Vilhelm Lundstrøm (1893 - 1950), is one of the most significant and acclaimed Danish artists of the 20th century. Lundstrøm is especially loved for his colourful paintings of female models and still life's, often characterised by a saturated blue background he called “eternity blue”.  

 

Working closely with specialists from the Conservation Centre Vejle, the company Newtec Engineering and the University of Southern Denmark, the exhibition charts the layers of colour and matter in Lundstrøm's paintings. Lundstrøm's infatuation with the colour blue provides the framework for the 11 (eleven) works in the collection exhibition Lundstrøm's Eternity Blue.
